Description
Summary:Qualitative and quantitative conflicting factors are associated in the decision-making process of Ready-Mixed Concrete (RMC) supplier selection that makes it a multi-criteria decision problem. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used to provide a structured and organized way of evaluating the decision problem. Various literature has been reviewed and consultation with RMC experts have been carried out to identify influencing decision factors in the Philippine context. A decision model hierarchy is established and assessed using pairwise comparisons to derive priority weights among elements in the hierarchy, including the weights of each criterion and alternative RMC Supplier. The project is conducted in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region IV-A Office, particularly at the Quality Assurance and Hydrology Division. Results shows that Quality criteria is prioritized among all criteria in the decision model. Furthermore, the quality of raw material is the top global sub-criteria identified. RMC Supplier C is the best supplier based on the accumulated global weights for alternative with respect to the goal of AHP, WAG. With consistency ratio (CR) less than 0.10 in all pairwise comparisons, the judgement is acceptable and valid.er
