The lateral forces in the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP), Volume I - Buildings, Towers and Other Vertical Structures, Seventh Edition 2015 are primarily due to the effects of wind and earthquake. NSCP 2015 provides general hazard maps for both wind and earthquake. This practicum intends to develop online application tool that provides site specific information for the effects of wind such as basic wind speed and site-specific coefficients. The online application is written in JavaScript which is an open-source programming language. Geographic Information System (GIS) is then connected in Google Map application program interface (API). The application tool aims to greatly help the civil / structural designers and engineers, architects, building officials and other stakeholders engaged in developing, updating and publishing building codes and standards. Using the application tool will provide ease for the stakeholders in determining the potential hazard at a given site and making sound decision for the design and construction of the structure at the given site. 2021-02-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/6356 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etd_masteral/article/13406/viewcontent/PAMONAG_ALBERT_11486333_Web_Application_of_Wind_Hazard_of_the_Philippines_2_Redacted.pdf Master's Theses English Animo Repository Hazardous geographic environments—Philippines—Maps Atmospheric circulation—Philippines—Maps Storm winds—Philippines—Maps Civil Engineering |
