This study presents the design and development of a nutrient film technique hydroponics system for lettuce. Hydroponics is a method of cultivating crops with the use of water with nutrient solutions as medium. This contains the conceptualization of differences of hydroponics setup and how NFT is the most suitable for the project implementation. The project is implemented on a closed bamboo chamber maximizing its area and the yield. The cost of the system will be also compared to its production yield to highlight the system’s cost efficiency. The system also features monitoring of the key parameters needed for by the crop to survive. The optimum values for electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, water flow rate, and temperature were all based on the existing studies that also cultivate lettuce as their primary crop. This nutrient film technique hydroponics system was built as an alternative to traditional farming that requires a lot of space. This system can produce a good number of crops without consuming large land area. 2019-01-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/6342 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etd_masteral/article/13421/viewcontent/A_Nutrient_Film_Technique_Hydroponics_System_for_Lettuce3.pdf Master's Theses English Animo Repository Nutrient film culture Hydroponics Electrical and Computer Engineering
