Description
Summary:Kidstyle Fashion, Inc. (KFI) is a clothing company specializing in infant and kid’s wear that supplies its outright and consignment brands in SM department stores throughout the Philippines. The study focused on the production of the outright brand Hush Hush because of its large revenue contribution to the company. From January 2016 to June 2018, 27% of purchase order quantity for Hush Hush was delivered by an average of 12 days delayed incurring a large penalty cost of Php 2,375,586. Using Why- Why diagrams, root causes are identified: Truck Schedule Dependent on the Output of Sewing Section and Production Schedule Reliant on Availability of Materials and Earliest Delivery Date. An information system that will properly set the truck schedule, delivery schedule and production schedule of the company was developed. The new system was able to optimize work and arrange workloads for each section and eliminate disruption of process schedules in the production.
