The rise of the insurance industry and the high demand of Filipinos for insurance plans bring focus on the ethics behind the sales agents that develop it. Considering the life-long impact of the products they are carrying and their ode to the code of ethics, much is expected from their practices. As such, this study described the level of work ethical practices of insurance agents from Metro Manila. It also determined the relationship of work ethical practices to the socio-demographic characteristics, work-related characteristics, and acculturation to company values. Moreover, this study ascertained the relationship between the work performance and organizational citizenship behavior. This quantitative study made use of non-probability purposive sampling technique to select 103 insurance sales agents answer self-administered questionnaires composed of 5-point Likert scale statements. The findings showed that among all the independent and outcome variables included in this study, only the insurance sales agents’ level of acculturation to company values had a critical role in improving their work ethical practices. As such, integration of the company values in their lives can help improve their level of ethical practices. 2019-03-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/6558 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=13544&context=etd_masteral Master's Theses English Animo Repository Insurance agents—Professional ethics—Philippines Applied Ethics Work, Economy and Organizations
