This Insider Action Research Improved the Vendor Master List of the Contracting and Procurement Group under the Supply Chain Management Department of Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC). In growing organizations, upstream customers such as suppliers are equally important in gaining a competitive advantage instead of focusing on just the downstream customers. Strategic sourcing drives the need for better relationship with viable suppliers. Supply Chain Management: Contracting and Procurement Group has been resorting to other ways of searching for feasible suppliers, which increases procurement lead time. Even if a pool of viable suppliers are present in the team’s current vendor master list, it was not usable and accessible. Through action research, methods of inquiries, and systems analysis, the action researchers decided on improving the vendor master list. Lewin’s Change Mqanagement Model, Usability, Agile Methodology, and RACI Matrix were used as third-person frameworks to guide the researchers in each cycle. After establishing a supplier selection criteria or the accreditation process, Cycle 1 showed that an available and usable vendor master list is essential both for contracting and procurement group and suppliers. Before proceeding to Cycle 2.0, the team had to divert to Cycle 2.1 which resulted in an integrated vendor master list with accreditation details. After successful evaluation, the team continued taking action for Cycle 2.0 which resulted in the creation of access and training to explicitly share knowledge and optimize the usability for users. This action research resulted in a framework for an Effective Vendor Master List. 2019-10-21T07:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/6541 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etd_masteral/article/13561/viewcontent/Rivera__Karla_Jayne_A.__IAR_FINAL_10212019b.pdf Master's Theses English Animo Repository Business logistics Business Administration, Management, and Operations
