Regina S. The purpose of the study was to develop a framework of financial literacy based on the knowledge of finance deans. A qualitative research methodology was adopted to gain an understanding of the deans’ concept of financial literacy. A multiple-case study was utilized, following Yin’s method. Data was collected through one-on-one interviews with the deans themselves and their faculty. The data was juxtaposed to pertinent financial literacy literature. The participants of this study were deans or department heads from three schools with business, finance, and accounting programs. The interviews were transcribed after each interview and discussion. The results of the study revealed that the concept of financial literacy among finance deans is comprised of: budget, income, credit, saving, investment, and insurance. It is anchored on an understanding of money and prodded by needs and wants as well as the value of discipline. 2018-01-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/6564 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=13572&context=etd_masteral Master's Theses English Animo Repository Financial literacy
