The lives of these poets have been discussed, and their poems have been categorized according to their themes. The six main classifications are A Barbed-Wire Existence, The Guiding Light, The Detained Society, The Detained Society’s Response; The Poet, the Pen, and Imprisonment; and The Triumph of Battered Lives.
