Description
Summary:HINABI Weaving Stories of Faith is a proposed enriched formation framework that primarily focuses on consecrated members of the Signum Fidei Association in the Philippines. The Las \allian Guiding Principles served as the framework that supports this study. Embedded in it are the theoretical foundations inspired by Daniel Mc Adams’ Features of Narratives . The research identified the needs of the current members and possible directions the Signum Fidei Association may take. A qualitative researcher generated ten item survey was conducted. The survey respondents included consecrated members of the Signum Fidei Association in selected chapters belonging to La Salle network schools, specifically De La Salle University Manila, De La Salle University Dasmariñas, De La Salle Health Sciences Institute, University of St. La Salle, La Salle University Ozamis, De La Salle John Bosco College, L a Salle Academy, St. Joseph School La Salle and De La Salle Santiago Zobel School. Five key respondents, considered Signum Fidei exemplars, were selected for interviews. The interviews served as a resource and input for formation. The data gathered from the interviews with key respondents were presented via the Life Story method. An analysis was made via the Mc Adams inspired theoretical foundation. The survey results indicated that the members of the Signum Fidei Association continue to put premium on initial and ongoing formation. It appear s that there is a need for accompaniment and mentoring both on a professional (organizational) and spiritual level of and between members of the Association. The survey results and the shared reflections of the respondents reveal that members of the Associ ation are on a journey in to and through various st ages . Signum Fidei in the Philippines is headed towards more participation in sharing the gift of association to various Signum Fidei communities not just in the Philippines, but in the Lasallian East As ia District as well. Despite existing leadership and means of formation, gaps and inconsistencies have been identified. Therefore, HINABI is a three phased formation framework crafted to help address formation gaps and to accompany the Signum Fidei members in their journey of faith
