Summary: | A lot of changes have occurred and played an important role in the development of accounting programs at colleges and universities. Over the years, the critical role and responsibility of educators has been debated and the curriculum of accounting course has varied and improved to adopt to the demands of the society and professional world. Economic and political factors have impacted the profession as has the evolution of the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE). Strong and pioneered institutions have been challenged to provide students with the technical skills, general knowledge and outcome-based teaching approach to students necessary to their CPALE preparation, actual work and succeed in today’s competitive global environment. This paper provides information and guidance as to how a school addressed the changes in the general review subject of the graduating accountancy students and revamp the process of preparing its Mock examination to further assess the capabilities and learning of the students. This paper is appropriate for anyone interested in the accounting profession as well as the education/ academe and enable the graduates to prepare and be ready to pass the CPALE. |
