Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the benefits of automation of the student enrolment system to Gospel Light Christian Academy’s enrolment process. This study also aims to find out how improvements in the school’s registration process through automation will affect shareholders’ perception on the following areas: a.) access to student accounts, b.) availability ofbasicinformation of the students; c.) record keeping of pertinent school records, i.e. transcript of records, d.) timeliness of advisory to parents with due accounts. Design: This study followed the framework of Coghlan and Brannick(2014) in Doing Action Research in Your Own Organization which utilized research cycles, reflections, and processes.Similar to their aims, through this study, the goal is to determine ways to improve the efficiency of basic processes in the institution I sincerely hope that findings in my action research will greatly benefit my workplace. Findings: The action research on automating Gospel Light Christian Academy’s enrolment system helped improved the system of accounts recordkeeping. With student population barely reaching a hundred, the administrative officers are skeptical whether the automation would be necessary or wait until the student number increases. Manual accounting has been the longstanding practice in the school.
