This study establishes the profile and the relationship among the following variables workload, salaries, job satisfaction and job performance, of the part-time faculty in the RVM secondary schools. The study used the descriptive method of research. The research procedure consisted of two main stages. The profiling stage described the part-time faculty in terms of personal characteristics, workload, salaries, levels of job satisfaction and job performance. The correlation stage established the relationship among the different variables. Data were gathered through a questionnaire and analysis of documents. The questionnaire consisted of three parts. Questions in part one determined the profile of the part-time faculty, part two dealt with the classification of the part-time faculty and part three was an adaptation of the questionnaire used by Santiago (1982). The total number of respondents were 91 part-time faculty members. Documentary analysis was made on the different salary plans used by RVM schools in computing the salaries of part-time faculty and the performance ratings submitted annually by school administrators. This was supplemented by informal interviews with the administrators and the finance officers to confirm and clarify data. Findings of the study showed that the highest percentage of part-timers (26.26 percent) fall under the category of full-mooners , which meant that the part-timers also have a full-time job outside the RVM schools. Most of the part-time faculty were male, married, belonged to the 20-29 age bracket and majority had less than 3 years of teaching experience in the RVM secondary schools. The part-time faculty were generally satisfied with their jobs and findings indicated that they fully met the standards required by RVM schools in terms of teaching performance. Results of the statistical analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between the job satisfaction and the salary, performance and workload of the part-timers in the RVM secondary schools. Likewise, there was no significant relationship between their classification and the performance, workload and salary. However, a significant relationship existed between the performance and the salaries and workload of the part-time faculty. In the entire RVM secondary school's part-time faculty, a very significant relationship existed between salaries and workload. Also, a significant negative relationship existed between classification and job satisfaction of the part-time faculty of the RVM secondary schools. 1985-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/82 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Teachers (Part-time) Secondary Education and Teaching
