Summary:This research investigates management controls and systems in the Philippines. The thesis presents three paper on the subject. The first paper focuses upon the decisions made and the controls employed in the management of products within a logistics system. It emphasizes the importance of creating place utility or increasing the economic value of the products by processing and transporting the products at reasonable cost to the points where they are wanted and in time to satisfy a real need. The second paper discusses the controls used in the production of heavy equipment. It reveals how a company processes a customers order from the time of receipt from the customer until the equipment is installed. Moreover, it rose the question of what controls are essential and under what circumstances. The third paper presents the interrelationship existing between production standard and controls used for the administration of a manufacturing enterprise and the management of costs. It emphasizes the need for a close relationship between production and cost accounting organizations. Furthermore, it provides a framework for visualizing this relationship.
