This study proposes to develop the guidance function of an outpatient rehabilitation center by offering a comprehensive, formalized, systematized guidance program based on a proposed reorientation of values in habilitation. Specifically, it proposes a counseling orientation that seeks to re-orient the approach to the management of the cerebral palsied. This study was exploratory in nature. The design was generally descriptive and ecological. A guidance program at the Elks Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation Center in Makati was proposed. The case study was an experimental design seeking to test the thesis and discover other aspects of the problem of cerebral palsy given an ideal subject. The approach proposed to counseling the cerebral palsied was Behavioral Humanism, which was not the only approach possible but which seemed to provide the answers to the quest of the cerebral palsied and the disabled in general. Follow-up studies on the constructs, particularly the guidance wheel and the home program were recommended, not only with cerebral palsied cases but also with other groups with a disability : the mentally retarded, the autistic child, the emotionally disturbed, and others. Changes in the phenomenological world of counselors in line with the objective of integration or dissolving the Able-Disabled dichotomy were also recommended. 1973-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/222 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Rehabilitation counseling Counseling
