Summary: | This study aims to evaluate and to survey the parish services program of Sta. Cruz Parish, and if found ineffective, to propose changes, modifications, and expansions to improve it. For the purpose of this study, 410 Sta. Cruz parishioners were surveyed. The instruments used to gather data were the evaluation checklist, community problem checklist, and interviews. The different services offered by the parish were health, family, credit union, vocational training, economic advancement, religious, and youth organization services. The findings revealed that both the married and single respondents were moderately satisfied with the parish services. All the services needed improvement either by giving out more information about them, reaching out to more people, or expanding the services. The findings served as the bases on which the proposals for improving the parish services were formulated. The local conditions were also taken into consideration in the proposals. Among the services offered by the parish, economic advancement services needed the most reinforcement, and needing the least strengthening was the religious services. To be able to meet the objectives of the parish program in the formation of the Christian community, the proposed parish program justified the division of the parish zones into neighborhood groups. |
