This study proposes a retirement program for the Daughters of Charity based on a survey of the needs and opinions of the elderly sisters of ten congregations of women. The descriptive survey method of research was used in this study. The subjects were the 102 elderly sisters of ten congregations of women. Raw data was gathered by means of questionnaires. Interviews were conducted with those who were willing to talk with the researcher. Library research helped the writer gain sufficient materials for her observations and interviews. In order to categorize the frequency of the responses the statistical treatment used was obtaining the percentages, and the arithmetic mean was used to determine the central tendency of the responses given. The results of the survey showed the following findings : 1. The main activities the elderly were interested in as their vigor diminishes were : praying, helping other elderly sisters, friendly visits to someone alone, handicrafts, counseling the young and visiting the poor. There were also those who were interested in needlework, gardening and being a consultant if there opinions were being solicited. Majority were still interested in recreational and group activities. 2. The common difficulties recognized by the elderly sisters in their declining years were : physical disabilities due to illness a minority were bothered by spiritual difficulties, as well as worries about their kins, and about death. According to the infirmarians, however, their main difficulty was insecurity. 3. The means they took in handling their difficulties and/or needs were the following : a. spiritual helps, such as the Mass and the sacraments, b. good medical assistance, c. the support of the sisters, and d. the availability of their Superiors. 4. The elderly Sisters' opinions regarding some important aspects of their retired life were the following : a. they liked to be consulted as to when and where they may retire, although a minority claimed that this should be left to the Superiors to decide b. th
