This research is a descriptive analysis of classroom visitation performed by ten principals of the secondary schools of the Prelature of Tagum, Davao province, as perceived by the principals and teachers. Perceptions on classroom visitation were then compared. The subjects of the study were composed of 10 principals and 139 teachers of ten selected secondary schools of the prelature of Tagum, Davao. The method used involved the gathering of data through a research instrument, the use of specific statistical treatments and practices of classroom visitation. Four aspects of classroom visitation were considered, namely: the objectives of classroom visitation, pre-classroom visitation practics, actual classroom visitation practices, and post classroom visitation practices. The two variables of educational attainment and years of teaching experience were chosen to compare the perceptions among the teachers. Based on the findings, the following conclusions are made: 1. There is a clear indication that there is a gap between the perceptions of the principals and teachers on post classroom visitation practices. This gap may point to some deficiencies in the implementation of this aspect of classroom visitation. 2. Teachers' perceptions on the aspects of classroom visitation are not associated with educational attainment. 3. Teachers' perception on classroom visitation is not associated with years of teaching experience. 4. Both the teachers and principals look at the factors which can contribute to favorable classroom visitation essential. 1979-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/710 Master's Theses English Animo Repository High school principals High school teachers Catholic schools--Philippines--Davao Educational Administration and Supervision Elementary and Middle and Secondary Education Administration
