The farm which will cater to commercial farms in Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog, and Southern Mindanao regions, will use scientific and modern swine management practices like restricted feeding, flushing and early weaning and modern farm production equipment like the self-flow dry feeder, the automatic bite-drinker and the portable farrowing pen, along with new concepts in building design. The CD sow will Financial viability of the project is indicated by the break-even point at 58 percent of the projected production capacity and 58 percent of projected total sales as early as the sixth year. The project is expected to contribute significantly to the improvement of the swine industry with the introduction of a superior hybrid - the Hypor pig. In addition, it will also generate as much as P 7.12 M in taxes for the Philippine government and will bring about dollar savings amounting to 580,474 in the period of ten years in as much as it will replace the imported breeders being currently used by large commercial pig raisers.
