Specifically, it aims to answer the following questions: 1) What is the faculty perception of: a) the conscientization of students? b) The schools' participation in the church's pastoral activities? c) The schools' participation in the city government and private organization's activities? d) The selected school's involvement in community affairs through the YCAP? 2) Is there any relationship between the faculty perception of the various schools' social awareness activities and their socio-economic status? This research makes use of the normative descriptive analysis on the extent of involvement in community extension services of the selected schools in Southern Cotabato, as perceived by all the faculty members of the respective schools. The method the researcher used involves the use of research instrument and a strategy for gathering, presenting, and interpreting of data. The research instrument used is adapted after Vargas (1978) study. The socio-economic status of the faculty members is determined through the use of the validated questionnaire used in the study of Vargas (1978), and the Bureau of Public Schools Socio-Economic Survey. Four main variables were chosen to test the extent of involvement of the four school's community services. It involves the faculty of the selected Dominican schools namely: Notre Dame of Dadiangas for girls Notre Dame of Lagao for girls Notre Dame of Marbel for girls and Notre Dame of Polomolok of South Cotabato during the school year 1980-1981. The data of the four variables were tabulated according to the four groups. Then, the data processing includes the computation of frequency distribution and percentage of item mean.
