The study seeks to discover it there is a difference in the way three (3) birth order groups respond to an instrument that measures the different personality traits. Information sheets were sent to the parents of the Grade Two students of St. Scholastica's College and De La Salle Santiago Zobel School. At about the same time, the Arly School Personality Questionnaire (ESPQ) was administered to the students. After having received all the questionnaires, those who fitted the descriptions of the sample population were set aside. These were grouped further according to birth order. The sampling procedures which was used was the stratified sampling: 83 were eldest children 59 were youngst children and 15 were only children. Only the test results of these students were subjected to a 6 x a one-way Analysis of Variance. The findings showed that the 7-0 to 9-0 year old students of SSC and DLSZ neither too bright nor less intelligent neither too secure and confident not too insecure and troubled neither too reserved and detached not too outgoing and easygoing neither too obedient and conforming not too assertive and stubborn neither too emotionally stable nor less emotionally stable and neither too tough-minded and self-reliant not too tender-minded and dependent. As a conclusion, there was no significant differences among the three (3) birth order groups in the 6 personality traits. 1983-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/985 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Birth order Child psychology Child Psychology |
