This study reviewed the 48 theses produced by the Development Education graduates of the University of Santo Tomas from 1978 to 1987. Specifically, it presented the bibliographic listings, annotated bibliography and the abstracts of the theses. It attempted to synthesize the different studies covering same management concern. The study utilized the descriptive-analytical method of research. An eclectic model on research integration based on the model of Cook (1966), Jackson (1980) and Cooper (1984) was utilized in doing the present study. This model consists of five stages: problem formulation, data collection, data evaluation, data analysis and interpretation and public presentation. The study drew the following conclusions: 1. The descriptive method of research, descriptive statistics, and purposive sampling were relatively the more popular research methodology, statistical analysis and sampling procedures used by the researchers of the host institution during the period 1978 to 1987. 2. There was a tendency for the majority of the researchers to favor studies on vocational/extension programs. 3. The need for program evaluation was increasingly being recognized by the more recent graduates of the host institution. 4. There were a number of school management concerns which were not explored in the researches reviewed. 5. The need to explicitly specify the sampling techniques and the methods of research used was overlooked in some of the researches. 1988-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/1284 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Dissertations Academic -- Philippines |
