The study attempts to determine the problem areas covered by the research studies performed by the Daughters of Charity (DC) in the Philippines. An integrative review or meta-evaluation of researches model by Desmond L. Cook (1966) was employed as design. The needed data for the review came from the 127 research outputs of the DC in the Philippines, from results of a questionnaire survey checklist, and interviews with DC heads of institutions, administrators, researchers, and faculty members, a total of 101 respondents. The main task of research synthesis and integration was divided into the methodological analysis of the research design and the analytical review on the substantive dimension of the research considering relevancy to the DC mission thrust and to educational theory and practice. The profile of the research outputs (1940-1987) showed that there are 149 outputs consisting of 15 dissertations, 112 theses, 15 project papers, and 4 written articles. Researches are done in NCR, Regions I, IV, V, VI, VII and abroad. There are 10 outputs on Formation ministry, 9 in Health, 9 in Social Services, 2 in Pastoral Ministry, and 97 in Education which were considered for the study. Studies are concerned with the institutions (53.54 percent, Province (25.98 percent), and Region (20.47 percent). The most selected area of research are development programs while finance is the least researched. Most studies are descriptive, employing the questionnaires as main data gathering tool. Percentages, frequencies and ranking are most common statistical treatment used. Except for two studies, one done outside the DC management and a laboratory experiments and studies were found relevant to the DC mission thrust though in varying degree of importance. 1987-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/1351 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Research -- Evaluation
