A system for displaying the force response of an elastic plate due to the impact of a steel cylindrical rod using the deconvolution method
The proposed system performs impact testing wherein a specified material is hit by a longtitudinal rod. Sensors are strategically placed on the load so as to accurately interpret the force response of the system during impact. Data is then gathered using a data acquisition system which systematicall...

Summary: | The proposed system performs impact testing wherein a specified material is hit by a longtitudinal rod. Sensors are strategically placed on the load so as to accurately interpret the force response of the system during impact. Data is then gathered using a data acquisition system which systematically stores data to a personal computer. Since the data gathered is critical and is subjected to a noisy environment, filtering should be considered. Finally, inverse analysis gives an approximate impact force using the strain response. |
