The pair production of scalar particles in an expanding universe with an external field is investigated in this study. In particular, the spatially flat, linearly expanding Robertson-Walker spacetime and a constant electric field allowing a time-dependent potential were used. Through the Feynman path integral method, an extract form of the quantum mechanical propagator was derived. Subsequently, quantities for particle creation were obtained for the limit of very late times. Results were seen to reduce to known results after applying the appropriate limits.
