This study undertakes the development of a proposed (1) administrative, (2) faculty, and (3) student handbooks for a minor seminary. This was done by determining, formulating, and screening the contents of twenty handbooks and documents which were both secular and magisterial. Preliminary drafts were developed and were evaluated according to the comprehensiveness, clarity, brevity, and readability. A checklist of the prototype items was used in order to screen the items done by the twelve minor seminary administrators. A questionnaire was sent to thirty seminary formation personnel who evaluated the comprehensiveness, clarity, and brevity of the proposed handbooks. For the reading difficulty level of the proposed student handbook, the readability test of Flesch Reading Ease Score was employed. The items were considered adequate and suited to a minor seminary set-up. Based on the criterion set for the comprehensiveness, clarity, and brevity of the proposed handbooks, a weighted mean of 3.5 was assessed. The proposed student, faculty, and administrative handbooks were evaluated as comprehensive, clear, and brief. From the Flesch Reading Ease Score point of view, the proposed student handbook also needs revision. Special attention must be given to the length of sentences so as to make the reading ease score between the standard 60 and 70 ease of reading. 1994-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/1582 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Administrative manuals Teachers -- Handbooks manuals etc Universities and colleges -- Administration Educational planning School management and organization Handbooks vade-mecums etc Seminarians Educational Administration and Supervision
