It also finds out if a significant correlation exists between religious commitment and emotional maturity of the Junior Sisters. A combination of the experimental and the descriptive correlational research method was employed. The subjects of the study were 101 Junior Sisters who were all in the final year of the junior period. Among them, 51 belonged to the experimental group which employed the tertianship formation program. Fifty belonged to the static comparison group. The Religious Commitment Inventory (RCI) was used to measure the level of religious commitment of the respondents. The 16 PF Questionnaire was used to measure the level of emotional maturity. The t-test and the Pearson r were also computed. There was a significant increase in the level of commitment of all the four sub-scales of the RCI, which dealt with vowed life, prayer life, community life, and apostolic life. The overall level of religious commitment increased from average to high. With regard to emotional maturity, significant differences were seen on on two factors, emotional stability and self control. The study also showed that religious commitment was not significantly related to emotional maturity. The study concluded that the tertianship formation program was effective in enhancing the level of religious commitment. However, the program was not so effective in improving the level of emotional maturity of the Junior Sisters. Further, religious commitment is not strongly related to emotional maturity. 1994-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/1628 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Vocational interests Emotional maturity Monastic and religious life of women Monasticism and religious orders for women Psychology Religious Counseling Educational Psychology
