This study aims to 1) find out how gender and sexuality is integrated in the curriculum of these two nursing schools, 2) determine the knowledge and attitudes about gender and sexuality among faculty and students in a sectarian and a non-sectarian school 3) identify the factors associated with knowledge and attitudes about gender and sexuality and 4) identify differences in the knowledge and attitudes about gender and sexuality between faculty and students, between sectarian faculty and non-sectarian faculty, and between sectarian student and non-sectarian student.Research techniques used include key informant interview, document review and survey. The college deans were the respondents for the KI interview while the course prospectus and syllabi were the materials used in the document interview. The major research technique was the self-administered survey among faculty and students. There were 106 respondents, 86 of which were students and 20 were faculty, selected through stratified and systematic random sampling. The data were processed and analyzed with the aid of EPI INFO, and enhanced by EXCEL. Descriptive statistics was used in data analysis.The study found out that approximately 1 in every 2 nursing students is not aware about sexuality issues, and that more than half has negative attitude about sexuality. Also, about 2 in every 5 students are not aware about gender issues while 7 in 10 students have positive attitudes about gender. Student respondents have poor knowledge regarding the following issues on sexuality, first-intercourse conception, withdrawal method, pornography, and sterilization. Regarding attitudes, they tend to have negative attitudes on premarital pregnancy, exposure to pornography, sterilization and premarital sex. As to knowledge about gender, they have poor knowledge about maternity leave benefit, and about the health seeking behavior of women with STD. They also have negative attitude about women with STD.
