This study determines the career satisfaction level, and its correlation to locus of control and spiritual well-being of the 45 F.M.M. women religious, engaged in socio-pastoral apostolate in the Philippines. It further investigates whether differences in age and educational attainments significantly moderated the correlations mentioned above. Career Satisfaction Index (CSI), Internal/External Locus of Control Scale, and Spiritual Well-Being Scale (SWBS) were the instruments used for this descriptive correlational research. For the statistical analysis, means and standard deviations were computed to determine the profile and the level of the career satisfaction of the respondents, when categorized as a group, according to age, and educational attainment. Pearson r was used to determine the correlations between the level of career satisfaction and the variables, locus of control and spiritual well-being. Fisher's z was used to determine the moderating effect of the differences in age and educational attainment on the correlations of career satisfaction to locus of control and spiritual well-being. The results revealed that the respondents experienced a high level of career satisfaction (M=172.68), and spiritual well being (M=110.68), and that they were of an internal orientation, (M=6.73). A break down of scores, on CSI according to age and educational attainment revealed that the early adulthood group scored comparatively higher than the middle age and old age groups and post graduates scored higher than college graduates. A significant inverse low correlation was observed between career satisfaction and locus of control (r=-.321,p.05) when the group was viewed as a whole, indicating that the higher the degree of career satisfaction, the more internal their locus of control tended to be. No significant relationship was seen between career satisfaction and spiritual well-being either when the group was taken as a whole, or grouped according to age and educational attainment. It was also observed that age and educational attainment had no significant moderating effect on correlations between career satisfaction and locus of control and spiritual well being. The study arrived at the following conclusions: The level of career satisfaction of the respondents increased according to the increase in the level of internal locus of control. Career satisfaction was independent of spiritual well-being. Age and educational attainment neither enhanced nor reduced significantly the relationship of career satisfaction to locus of control and spiritual well-being. Recommendations are offered for future research in the field of counseling. 1997-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/1826 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Careers Satisfaction Locus of control Vocation (in religious orders congregations etc) Monastic and religious life of women Spiritual life Apostolate (Christian theology) Counseling Educational Psychology
