This study identifies, determines, and compares the health situation of people in two barangays: one with factories, the other without, based on the perceptions of residents. The study is descriptive and comparative. A total of 200 residents, 100 drawn from each barangay comprise the sample of the study. For both Langkaan and Litlit, female respondents slightly outnumber males. Majority of the respondents are married. The median age of 27 also correspond to the median years of residence as most of the respondents have been living in their respective barangays since birth. In Langkaan, most of the respondents are high school graduates or have had reached the college level. In contrast, majority of the respondents in Litlit are college graduates. No difference emerged between Langkaan and Litlit respondents when they were asked to make an assessment on their own health status and that of the men, women, and children in the community.Majority of the respondents in two barangays perceived that the presence of factories negatively affect the environment and the health of the community. Though personal, barangay leaders' and factories' action to lessen these effects are done, residents believe that these actions are not enough. 1999-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/2023 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Public health Industrialization Health surveys-- Philippines--Cavite Province Environmental health Health and Physical Education
