The corporate strategies of First Resources Management and Securities Corporation would focus on how to survive at this time of crisis wherein some stockbrokerages are already folding up. The strategies mentioned in this paper would give FR a lower net loss in 1998 of 1.0% and a profit margin of 5% to 10% in 1999 and year 2000. The strategies were derived from the analysis made on the Industry and the Company. Par one which is the Industry Analysis of the Philippine stock market analyzed the economic, regulatory, competitive, and market environments which made me conclude that the industry is not that attractive at this time. Part two is the Company Analysis which include the three types of strategies namely, generic, existing and proposed strategies. The strategies cited focused more on the internal aspect, that is, by strengthening the resources the Company have, cost cutting schemes and the like. Since stock brokerages are really affected by the currency turmoil, it is not advisable to be aggressive at this time. 1999-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/2304 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Business Administration, Management, and Operations
