The study translates the Stress Pictorial Test (SPT) to Hiligaynon and determines its construct validities by employing test correlation method, using digit span of the Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children, self concept of the Pictorial Self Concept Scale (PSCS) and Anxiety Scale for Filipino Children (ASFC) as criterion. The SPT is a local instrument measuring anxiety state of children. In translating the instrument, back translation technique was utilized and the faithfulness of the translation was determined through consensual meaning error. The new version was named Stress Pictorial Test-Hiligayon (SPT-H). Children ages seven to ten served as respondents. Correlation between anxiety and memory revealed a correlation coefficient of .126 meaning that there is an absence of relationship between the two concepts. The correlation between anxiety and memory revealed a correlation coefficient of .00478 indicating an insignificant relationship. Whereas the results between ASFC and SPT-H showed that the latter is an equivalent version of SPT and a valid measure of anxiety with a correlation coefficient of .472. Norms are also available and it is based on the one hundred sixty five (315) respondents. 1999-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/2338 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Examinations--Validity Stress (Psychology) Test anxiety Hiligaynon (Philippine people) Educational Psychology
