Description
Summary:The objective of the research is to designs an architecture for inter-application interaction and communication for text formatting interface agents. The architecture provides a method by which the interface agent can attach itself to word processors without the need of additional programming on both applications. This is by embedding the Sensor and the Actuator component of the interface agent into the word processor application. As such, researchers are no longer concerned on how interaction and communication can be achieved but the focus would be on designing more effective agents. Furthermore, if commercial applications use the architecture, different interface agent software can be attached to provide a more powerful application altogether.
