Summary: | This project involves the design and implementation of a voice-controlled remote control system for household applications. Though several applications of voice recognition has already been established, these has not been commercially available especially to the ordinary person. The author aims to present a design that controls five household appliances and is adaptable to Covox Voice Master System (a voice recognition system). The Covox will accept and process voice commands from the speaker. When the speaker says a command, the Covox compares the sound pattern of the command with the trained template in the computer's memory. On the other hand, the appliances fixtures to be controlled are connected to an Appliance Control Box which receives signals from the computer's parallel port. These signals from the parallel port determines which appliance will be controlled.Macro Assembly Language programming (ver. 6.0) was used to link the Covox and the parallel port. |
