This study utilizes the Stake Contingency Congruency Evaluation model to assess the effectiveness of the Student Activity Program (SAP) of high school department of Canossa Academy, Calamba. The study verified whether there was a significant difference between the perceptions of (a) first year students (b) fourth year students (c) club moderators and SAP coordinator towards the practice of eight core values (1) openness to truth (2) selfless caring (3) creative teamwork (4) patriotism and cultural integration (5) competency/skills (6) rich in faith (7) social responsibility (8) uprightness and self discipline of the Student Activity Program. The researcher used two sets of questionnaires for the study, one for the students and one for the SAP coordinator and club moderators. The participants of the study consisted of 15 students per club selected by random sampling. The 91 samples were divided into three groups: (a) 39 first year, (b) 36 fourth year students, (c) SAP coordinator and 15 club moderators. The results of the study showed that the goals and objectives of SAP were moderately congruent with the intended schools' General and Specific Objectives. The intended materials and facilities used were perceived to be sometimes available to fairly available by the respondents. All the intended student activities were carried out as planned but students preferred some activities over others. The supervision of SAP is good. The foremost reason cited by students for non-participation was lack of information of the activity. The main problem of the moderators was the limited participation of club members. The outcomes showed that there was no significant difference in the perception of the three groups in the practice of the core values-openness to truth, rich in faith and social responsibilities, while significant differences were found in the practice of the core values.Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the SAP under review was congruent with the observed antecedents in terms of educational attainment and area of specialization of club moderators but not congruent in terms of achievement of goals and objectives seminar/in-service training attended and number of years in handling the clubs. The intended transactions were also congruent in terms of supervision of the program but other aspects of the transactions and outcomes were not congruent with the actual transactions and outcomes. It is recommended that the respondent school provides a more comprehensive developmental program which includes: on-going formation plan for club moderators, various activities that would bring out the students' holistic development based on the needs and interests of the students, maximization of the use of facilities and close follow-up of students who are not actively involved in the different student activities. 1998-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/2824 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Educational Evaluation Educational productivity Student activities School management and organization Educational Assessment, Evaluation, and Research
