Summary:This study develops a five-year strategic information systems plan (SISP) for Eulogio Amang Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) in order to align information systems according to organization needs by taking advantage of the emerging technology opportunities. The proponent used the strategic information systems planning methodology developed by Professional Systems Synergy, Inc. and employing different tools such as Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT) analysis and enterprise modeling. Through detailed study on organizational strategies and current IT set-up, the plan is aligned with the institution's development plan. This makes it possible to prioritize information systems projects on the basis of a contribution to the institution's goals and objectives. Understanding technological advancements makes this plan adapt to rapidly changing business and a competitive environment. Also, the ouput of this study provides five-year strategic information systems plan for the institution that could make the institution IT ready in the near future. The proponent believes that if this plan is implemented properly the institution will be able to reap the benefits of information technology.
