Description
Summary:Space is a 13-minute motion comic about the common experience of losing someone, reflecting on the past, and dealing with what comes next. It acts as a letter that follows a series of flashbacks from MARTY, 22, as she grows up with her grandmother MAMU, 80, whom she develops a special relationship with. Over the years, Marty gradually notices Mamu’s sentimentality with the things she cherishes and keeps around her. The older Marty gets, the more wound up she is about this trait of Mamu’s. At present, Mamu is hospitalized and Marty can’t help but look back on what they have been through together. She realizes where her concern and nuisance of Mamu’s sentimentality came from and uses it instead to keep Mamu’s memory alive. Later on, we learn that Marty has been addressing this letter to her two younger cousins, Maya and Christian as a way of telling them what kind of relationship she had with Mamu and that they could have had it too.The project was conceptualized and developed by the proponents, who contributed in writing the original screenplay, illustrating each sequence using Adobe Illustrator, composing and producing the original song using FL Studio, and post-processing the motion comic using Adobe Premiere Pro.1080p at 24fps MP4 format.
