It follows the daily life of a new live-in couple and the story is narrated by none other than their home television (TV). The TV is the sole witness as to why the couple went from being sweet lovers to enemies. However, aside from being a witness, the TV is also blamed as the reason why the couple had a fallout. The film explores that the (socio-political) beliefs, values, and viewpoints of a consumer are revealed by the type of media they tolerate and consume. Satirical aspects of the film include a commentary and parody about the current socio-political climate in the Philippines, particularly the elections, sexism, COVID-19 lockdown, and ABS-CBN shutdown. The proponents conceptualized the satirical concepts as it mirrors their values and they believe that such socio-political issues are relevant today. Moreover, conceptualization was done way before the May elections, but the proponents were wondering if the film is still a satire given the results of the elections. Perhaps, no (more) line exists between satire and reality. The proponents also included animations to add humor and character to the satirical theme. A short post-credits scene was also included because the proponents deem it fitting to end the film in such a way. 1080p MP4 format. 2022-01-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etdb_comm/38 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1054&context=etdb_comm Communication Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Feature films Film Production |
