Jacob, Louie Bernard A. Patinio, Jed Henri A. The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the context of business has been of great interest for researchers and practitioners alike. However, there has been little research to establish empirical evidence to validate the relevance of CSR to a financial institution such as a commercial bank. This research paper takes a deeper look at how the Internal and External CSR actions of a selected bank in the Philippines directly affects the level of satisfaction among the company’s employees. Moreover, the study also tackles how employee satisfaction may in turn impact the longevity of the business. In order to accomplish this study, an online survey questionnaire was distributed to 104 employees from the participating bank. The survey questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale contained 35 statements covering the different measures for each of the four variables; Internal CSR, External CSR, Employee Satisfaction, and Business Longevity. The findings show that there is a high positive correlation and causal relationship between the four variables. Furthermore, the findings prove that the mediating variable, Employee Satisfaction, has a complementary partial mediation between Internal and External CSR and Business Longevity, suggesting that a significant relationship does indeed exist between the variables. 2022-02-23T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etdb_dsi/90 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etdb_dsi/article/1058/viewcontent/Evaluating_the_Mediating_Effect_of_Employee_Satisfaction_on_the_A_Redacted.pdf Decision Sciences and Innovation Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Social responsibility of business Bank employees—Job satisfaction—Philippines Business Administration, Management, and Operations Human Resources Management
