Keyboard Kings Corporation is a start-up formed under the practicum program of De La Salle University’s Decision Sciences and Innovation Department. The company is founded by four entrepreneurship students, namely, Patrick G. Atienza, Robert Kristian M. Oflear II, Tyron Salvador, and Stefano Alexis T. Zapata. These entrepreneurs were mentored and guided by Dr. Harvey T. Ong and Mr. Patrick R. Hariramani. The content of Keyboard King’s terminal year-end report includes the highlights of performance, success factors and challenges, significant learnings, and other chapters that measure the performance and impact of the company. Keyboard Kings was started with all of the four members sharing the same passion for gaming. Hence, the birth of Keyboard Kings’ vision: to empower creativity into the workplaces of every gamer, streamer, and keyboard enthusiast. The company aimed to target the rising number of online learners and work-from-home individuals in the Philippines. One major resource that the company had was their 3D printing capabilities and expertise. This has led to the team offering their main product lines of artisan keycaps as it is an accessory that the majority of the company’s target market can enjoy. The artisan keycaps are inspired from gaming-related characters which attach to their mechanical keyboards to become part of their gaming environment and set-up. By the end of their practicum subject, one of the key highlights of their success was their diverse range of product lineups and services offered. These include artisan keycaps, artisan mousepads, and switch lubing services. The company aspired to leave a bigger impact and sought to build a community. This was done through increasing engagement with the audiences and community by regularly hosting monthly gaming tournaments and mechanical keyboard raffles. Keyboard Kings Corporation was able to penetrate the niche market of the artisan keycap space and establish themselves as a credible brand. With the persistence of the team, this has led to the company partnering with gaming brand giants in the country, Datablitz. The team has achieved more than 3,700 followers in their social media and exceeded their overall corporate and functional goals. 2023-04-17T07:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etdb_dsi/166 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etdb_dsi/article/1176/viewcontent/Keyboard_Kings_Corporation2__Terminal_Year_End_Report_Volume_1.pdf Decision Sciences and Innovation Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Entrepreneurship Microcomputers—Equipment and supplies Keyboards (Electronics) industry—Philippines Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations Other Business |
