Design/methodology/approach – This study used a quantitative approach. Particularly, a correlational research design was adopted. Scales to measure ethical culture (CEV-32 scale) and flourishing (secure flourish index) were administered online to 127 qualified public health nurses in Cavite Province. Correlation analysis and linear regression were applied. Findings – Ethical organizational culture positively influences human flourishing. Furthermore, all eight CEVs are relevant and must be addressed when flourishing of Philippine nurses are considered. However, ethical organizational culture is not a strong determinant of flourishing. Research limitations/implications – This study focused on identifying the positive influence of ethical culture on the flourishing of Philippine nurses. The findings reinforce the complexity of human flourishing, opening the need to examine other aspects of the workplace (aside from ethical culture), and beyond it (e.g., family, education, and religious communities) that can affect flourishing. Practical and social implications – All eight CEVs (subdimensions) of ethical culture should be considered by management when flourishing is concerned. However, management should also consider other aspects of the workplace aside from ethical culture. Originality/Value – This study shed new findings regarding the relationship between ethical culture and flourishing by viewing the former as a multi-dimensional construct.
