This study focused on how grit and optimism affected the psychological well-being (PWB) of undergraduate students during the span of the COVID-19 pandemic. An explanatory research design was used to describe and test the relationship of PWB with grit and optimism. The questionnaires that were used for this study were the Short Grit Scale, Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale, and the Life Orientation Test - Revised. The respondents of this study were undergraduate students from Metro Manila. Results showed that while both grit and optimism were predictors of psychological well-being, grit predicted PWB more than optimism. Hence, improvement in both independent variables would result in an improved PWB. 2021-01-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etdb_psych/2 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1002&context=etdb_psych Psychology Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Well-being Undergraduates--Metro Manila--Philippines COVID-19 Pandemic, 2020- Optimism Psychology
