This research undertaking sought to investigate the innovative ambidexterity of Filipino agripreneurs in relation to business survival across stages and subsectors in the agricultural value chain using the Sequential Explanatory Mixed Method Design. The quantitative phase focused on established Filipino agripreneurs from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Adult Population Survey 2013 to 2015 supplemented by secondary databases. The qualitative investigation to validate the quantitative phase was conducted in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Davao Region and Central Luzon Region from May 21 to 23, 2019. Innovative ambidexterity was measured in terms of product innovation, market competition, technology innovation and international market development. Both product innovative ambidexterity and technology innovative ambidexterity proved to significantly vary across the different administrative regions in the Philippines. Not much differences among the regions were depicted with respect to market competition and international market development. Innovative ambidexterity was measured in terms of product innovation, market competition, technology innovation and international market development. Internal factors found to significantly influence the innovative ambidexterity of Filipino agripreneurs were gender and network. External factors such as economic, technological, politico-legal, infrastructural, and natural were found to highly influence Filipino agripreneurs¶ innovative ambidexterity. Innovative ambidexterity proved to predict business survival in terms of longevity. Innovative ambidexterity significantly varied across stages and subsectors.
