Description
Summary:The emergence of research studies on entrepreneurship education emphasized the need to shape entrepreneurial intentions among the youth, however, empirical evidences available in the Philippines pointed towards emergence of entrepreneurial competencies as a factor that would provide better understanding of this phenomenon. This research determined what can potentially contribute in increasing entrepreneurial intentions of selected entrepreneurship graduates from Ramon V. Del Rosario, College of Business, De La Salle University through the evaluation of their current state in terms of entrepreneurial competency, personality, creativity, and entrepreneurial event. The research utilized a meta-analysis on entrepreneurship education in determining variables with theoretical anchors that was used in this study through Ajzen’s Theory of Planned Behavior for Entrepreneurial Intention, Shapero’s Entrepreneurial Event Model, Costa and McCrae’s Big 5 Personality, Kaufman and Beghetto’s Four Levels of Creativity, and Zdolšek Draksler & Širec Entrepreneurial Competencies. The research surveyed 195 respondents and found that Market Insight (Entrepreneurial Competency), Big C Creativity, Extraversion, Perceived Desirability, Perceived Feasibility, and Propensity to Act are significant variables with positive effect on Entrepreneurial Intention. The Adjusted R2 yielded 0.5602 for the Multiple Regression Model for all variables combined. The research results proposed a recommendation on uplifting entrepreneurship programs through the significant competencies in order to accentuate the quality of innate characteristics from entrepreneurial graduates through the lack of significance for various Entrepreneurial Competency that are vital. Hence, the continuance of development for entrepreneurship education is enhance through changes on technology and trends in preparing students with skills and traits for the future especially at the context of the pandemic that enhances online capabilities of business.
