Summary: | Understanding the determinants of people's perceptions may be utilized to design appropriate interventions and strategies for effective environmental management in the Philippines. Incorporating local people's perception and socio-demographic complexities in the analysis is fundamental in mitigating environmental risks, designing policies, and conservation plans. Using chi-square, the study explores the significant impacts of age, gender, and education on the perception and attitude of participants towards environmental conservation. People's perception is based on experiences that affect the attitudes towards conservation which influence behavior and final conservation outcomes. Based on the results, there is a significant relationship between age, gender, and educational attainment in predicting the attitude and perception towards the environment. Thus, understanding the relationship between socio-demographic factors and perception can help to understand people's attitudes towards sustainable consumption. |
