By doing so, all those that need to be informed of all incoming transactions are properly informed and tracking can be done properly. Guided by the DMADV framework, and with the help of the collaborators, this action research was successful in defining the requirements and implementing the warehouse processes for company SCS. The first cycle of this action research addressed the basic processes of company SCS’ satellite warehouse. Basic processes were defined for the regular incoming and outgoing transactions. This included the basic steps and people in charge for each step of the way. This is also the cycle where an Inventory tracker was designed through Excel and uploaded in google drive. In the evaluation phase of this cycle, the need for standard process on special scenarios was established, and thus, was the issue to be addressed in this action research’s second cycle. Using the same method and DMADV framework of the first action research cycle, the second cycle was performed to address “special” scenarios. In the construction phase, there were three “special” scenarios raised, (1) Discrepancy between document and physical items, (2) Order correction before delivery dispatch and (3) Order Correction after dispatch. This action research details out the stories of the researchers’ experiences, reflection and methods of how the research tools were used. 2021-09-01T07:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etdm_manorg/52 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etdm_manorg/article/1049/viewcontent/tan_Redacted.pdf Management and Organization Master's Theses English Animo Repository Inventory control Retail trade—Inventory control Family-owned business enterprises Business Administration, Management, and Operations |
