Reports workstream – the team who is responsible in preparing the report, spends three hours to complete the report. Considering the number of processes that the Data Remediation Team’s handle, time is a very crucial thing to be able to meet the deliverables expected from the team. With the collaborative discussions of the researcher and collaborators, focal issue and manifestations of it have been identified. Utilizing the data-driven framework for automation, and ACTTIVETM framework for business process improvement, the team attempts to address the issue through two cycles of action research. The first cycle focused on automating the several and tedious steps of preparing the weekly which saved more than 40 percent of the original time. However, this does not suffice to consider the action research a success. The results of evaluation of actions stage of the core research triggers the focus of the second cycle of the action research. Through the realizations and learnings acquired in the first cycle, the researcher and collaborators became keen to the different tools and frameworks used in the duration of the study, and continued to solve the issue. The process of change was conducted in observance of Lewin’s change management strategy and in consideration with the ACTTIVETM business process improvement framework.
