Description
Summary:This action research aims to improve the internal COVID-19 reporting tool of Grace Global Operations Center Philippines Inc. (Grace) to ensure compliance with DOLE and PEZA and improve the productivity of Grace department heads who are assigned to update the said tool. The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) issued a Labor Advisory on September 6, 2022, instructing all business establishments to strictly abide by the existing protocols in reporting virus transmission in workplaces in response to the slight increase in the COVID-19 positivity rate in the provinces. The Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma signed DOLE's L.A. No. 18 Series of 2022 on COVID-19 Prevention and Reporting Protocols in the Workplace on September 6 to remind all establishments to ensure good practice of detection strategies in workplaces and observance of the minimum public health standards. The advisory required safety officers at private establishments to submit a list of COVID-19-positive cases and their close contacts regularly via the Employer's Work Accident/Illness Report (WAIR). At the same time, PEZA requires registered business enterprises (RBEs) to report the details of those RBEs with positive cases weekly. My collaborators and I agreed to automate our internal tool, which can be accessed through SharePoint. The first cycle focused on setting up the form, eliminating unnecessary fields, and leveraging an existing automated form in our company, which we can use as a template.
