This study aimed to examine how adolescents approach the task of reporting career interests, that is, what they access from their prior knowledge when forming a judgment about what they like and do not like in terms of work activities. Nine (9) participants (5 males; 4 females), aged 15 to 16 years, enrolled in private schools in Metro Manila, took part in this qualitative study. Results showed that as adolescents make judgments of whether they would be interested in a particular work activity, less consideration is made about the characteristics of the work itself than considerations of their own skills, knowledge, personal traits as well as outcome expectations and relevant learning experiences. Implications for career guidance counseling are discussed. 2019-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/faculty_research/11087 Faculty Research Work Animo Repository Vocational guidance—Philippines Student Counseling and Personnel Services
