Description
Summary:The economic prosperity experienced by several Asian economies has also given Asian universities opportunity to compete with the world's best. A comparison is made between the master's programs in mechanical engineering between a developed country such as Singapore and a developing country like the Philippines. Several key comparison categories such as scholarships/funding, curriculum and assessment of students were discussed. Recommendations were also given to improve the Philippine postgraduate programs to be at least at par with the global standards.
