This study took an integrated approach to determining sustainable private hospitals. What are the statistically significant factors for determining the sustainability of private hospitals in terms of (a) governance, (b) clinical care management, and (c) regulatory compliance? Purposive sampling on 11 selected large Philippine private general hospitals was conducted through structured survey questionnaires from 2016 to 2018 using a 6-point Likert scale with weighted mean scores per factor and testing them using Friedman test and factor analysis. Survey responses showed high internal consistencies and reliability with response rate of 87.17%. High hospital mean scores of 17 factors for the selected hospitals of 3.94 to 5.65 indicate good governance, superior healthcare management and regulatory compliance. Performing Friedman test on the factor mean scores found 16 factors statistically significant, while results from factor analysis showed 17 factors statistically significant with reliability coefficients of 0.947 and 0.855 respectively, explaining 67.99% of data variation. Findings support the integrated approach of the study and suggests that private hospitals adapting the 17 sustainable factors show compliance of good governance, quality healthcare management and regulations along with consistent, robust regulator support for their long-term viability and growth. 2019-12-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/faculty_research/11270 Faculty Research Work Animo Repository Hospitals, Proprietary Sustainable development Hospitals—Administration Hospital care Sustainability |
